The Marcellus Girls Lacrosse Club (MGLC) has worked for more than a decade to establish and promote a youth program for the girls in the Marcellus community.
This club has developed player programs and skill development at all levels, a positive sense of competition where sportsmanship is fostered, and players who respect themselves and others in their communities. Through the determination and hard work of the past board members, parents and coaches, the MGLC has secured, in conjunction with the Lions Club, facilities to host games for the Upstate Lacrosse League.
The MGLC continues to grow each year by adding more players at each level and more parents actively participating in the club. The goals of the MGLC are to continue to develop players that are ready to play when they reach the scholastic sports system -- and for those players to have fun playing a great sport with their teammates.
The club will continue to raise funds for equipment and league scholarships for girls who cannot afford to try the sport. The MGLC always seeks more girls so they can try lacrosse and explore their interest in this wonderful sport.
The MGLC asks for your continued support as it provides a positive, healthy opportunity for the girls of this community. Please feel free to contact any of the club's officers with questions, comments or concerns.
Everyone at the MGLC appreciates the continued enthusiasm and dedication of everyone involved in the club. That will help to build an even stronger lacrosse tradition for the girls of the Marcellus area.
